Casper could warm to 50 degrees this week before chance of snow returns Friday

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area is expected to see relatively warmer temperatures this week compared with some of the bitter cold experienced in the area last week. Windy conditions are also possible, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton.

Monday is expected to be sunny with a high near 46 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph, according to the NWS in Riverton.

Tuesday is expected to reach a high near 42 degrees with wind gusts up to 36 mph possible. Wednesday is also expected to be sunny, with a high near 44 degrees forecast by the NWS in Riverton. Wind gusts on Wednesday could reach 37 mph.

Thursday is expected to be the warmest day of the week with the high expected to climb near 50 degrees, according to the NWS in Riverton. Wind gusts could reach up to 32 mph.

Cloudy conditions are expected to return overnight Thursday before a chance of snow on Friday morning. The NWS in Riverton forecasts a 20% chance of snow in Casper on Friday and a 30% chance on Casper Mountain. Any possible snow is most likely to occur in the morning before 11 a.m. Friday, according to the NWS in Riverton.

Mostly sunny conditions are expected Saturday with a high near 34 degrees. Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy with a high near 36 degrees.
