CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has implemented wind closures on Interstate 80 in southeast Wyoming amid strong winds on Tuesday afternoon.
I-80 is closed to light, high-profile vehicles from Laramie to Elk Mountain due to gusting winds. WYDOT sensors showed winds gusting near 60 mph in the Elk Mountain area at around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Some other highways in the southeastern part of Wyoming are also facing wind closures on Tuesday afternoon. Updated road condition information is available from WYDOT.
