CASPER, Wyo. — High winds have prompted the the Wyoming Department of Transportation to close Interstate 25 between Cheyenne and Wheatland to light, high-profile vehicles Saturday. The closure took effect at noon.
In the Central Laramie Range and Southwest Platte County (including Bordeaux and I-25), a wind advisory is in effect from the National Weather Service until 11:00 p.m. Saturday. Sustained west winds at 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to or exceeding 65 mph are advised.
Gusts exceeding 65 mph are also expected in the North Snowy Range Foothills including I-80 until 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
