CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area could see some rain and snow showers this week after a warm winter day on Monday, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton.
The high on Martin Luther King Jr. Day is expected to reach near 51 degrees in Casper. Tuesday is expected to see a high near 43 degrees, according to the NWS in Riverton.
The chance for snow showers returns on Tuesday night with a 20% chance in Casper and a 30% chance on Casper Mountain. The NWS in Riverton forecasts a 20% chance of snow in Casper on Wednesday and a 30% chance on Casper Mountain.
Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 34 degrees before a chance of snow returns again on Thursday night. There is a 20% chance of snow in Casper after 11 p.m. Thursday. There is a 30% chance of snow after midnight on Casper Mountain, according to the NWS in Riverton.
Friday has the greatest chance of precipitation in the Casper area and could include a mix of rain and snow. There is a 50% chance of showers in the Casper area, including a chance of snow showers before 3 p.m. and and chance of rain and snow between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Showers after 4 p.m. are likely to come in the form of snow, according to the NWS in Riverton.
Casper Mountain has a 60% chance of snow showers on Friday.
Mostly sunny conditions are expected to return to the Casper area over the weekend, according to the NWS in Riverton.
