CASPER, Wyo. — A fast-moving system is expected to bring another shot of snow to central Wyoming overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton.
There is a 50% chance of snow showers after 11:00 p.m. in Casper on Saturday night. New accumulations of less than one inch are expected. Locally higher amounts of 2-3 inches are possible if snow banding develops.
Snow showers in any location are expected to last six hours or less, and the system should clear the area by sunrise Sunday.
Casper’s overnight lows should be around 18, with west winds around 14 mph and gusts up to 21 mph.
Saturday will see mostly sunny skies with a high temperature near 39 in Casper, the NWS said. WSW winds of 15 to 23 mph are forecast, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
