CASPER, Wyo. — Interstate 80 is closed or partially closed from Cheyenne to Rock Springs on Thursday morning due to crashes and winter weather.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), as of 7:30 a.m. I-80 is closed from Cheyenne to Laramie and is experiencing rolling closures from Laramie to Rock Springs. The interstate closed late last night.
Estimated opening times are 4 to 6 hours, said WYDOT.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued a high wind warning that goes in to effect this afternoon along sections of Interstate 80, with blowing snow dramatically reducing visibility at times. The warning extends through Friday morning.
