CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Snow-related road closures haven’t completely gone away yet this year.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) closed a section of Interstate 80 eastbound from Cheyenne (at the College Drive exit on Exit 364) to Pine Bluffs on Monday morning due to a rolling closure influenced by snowy conditions in the area.
Moderate to heavy snow has been occurring much of the morning near the Wyoming-Nebraska border as eastern Laramie County (including Pine Bluffs) is under a winter weather advisory until 3 p.m. Monday. U.S. Route 30 eastbound from the College Drive exit in Cheyenne to Pine Bluffs is also closed as of 8:20 a.m. Monday due to a rolling closure.
Some snowfall has occurred in Cheyenne on Monday morning, as well, with the National Weather Service recording a six-hour precipitation measurement of just over a quarter-inch at 5:53 a.m. Cheyenne is not currently under any major weather alert related to the snowfall.
