CASPER, Wyo. — The National Weather Service assures those looking to see the lunar eclipse shortly after sunset that mostly clear skies are expected to continue overnight.
The partial eclipse begins at 8:28 p.m., with the moon rising to the east-southeast. The total eclipse will take place from 9:29 to 10:53 p.m., the NWS said.
“Scattered high cirrus clouds would be the main obstruction to any viewing of the earth`s shadow on the moon,” the NWS added.
