CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area could see some thunderstorms on Tuesday evening with hail possible, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
Wednesday is expected to be sunny with a high near 75 degrees in Casper, with wind gusts up to 28 mph possible. Western and central Wyoming could see elevated fire weather conditions Wednesday amid warm temperatures, low humidity and winder conditions, the NWS in Riverton forecasts.
The possibility for storms returns to the region on Thursday, and Casper has a 30% chance for showers and thunderstorms, with wind gusts up to 55 mph possible. Rain, snow and thunder is possible on Thursday night with a 50% chance for precipitation. Rain and snow is likely on Casper Mountain overnight Thursday, with the NWS in Riverton forecasting a 60% chance for precipitation.
Casper again has a chance for rain and snow showers on Friday, with a 40% chance for precipitation and wind gusts up to 28 mph possible. There is also a chance for thunder. Casper Mountain has a 50% chance for snow showers during the day Friday and could also see thunder, according to the NWS in Riverton.
Friday night and Saturday have a 20% chance for rain and snow in Casper and on the mountain.
