CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A portion of I-80 has been shut down due to a late May snowstorm.
I-80 from Laramie to Cheyenne has been shut down due to a snowstorm that came through southeast Wyoming late Thursday night. The closure remains in effect as of 11 a.m. Friday, according to WYDOT.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories will remain in effect through the morning across southeast Wyoming, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
Heavy snowfall is projected to continue through the morning, starting to taper off by midday. There is a possibility of moderate snowfall continuing through Friday night. Hard Freeze and Freeze Warnings are currently in effect Friday night into Saturday morning across southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle, according to the NWS in Cheyenne.
