Cooler weekend ahead for Casper; 50% chance of rain on mountain Friday night

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area is expected to warm up through Thursday before the trend reverses and a chance of showers and thunderstorms returns Friday and into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

Tuesday’s high is expected to reach near 77 degrees in Casper, rising to a high near 87 degrees on Wednesday and a high near 88 degrees on Thursday.

A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms returns Friday afternoon, with the NWS in Riverton forecasting a high near 84 degrees in Casper. The mountain has a 40% chance of showers on Friday afternoon as well, increasing to 50% Friday night.

Casper has a 40% chance of showers Friday night followed by a 20% chance of showers Saturday. Saturday is expected to be cooler with a high near 69 degrees, according to the NWS in Riverton. The mountain has a 30% chance of showers on Saturday. Casper and the mountain both have a 30% chance of showers on Saturday night.

The high is forecast near 76 degrees on Sunday in Casper alongside a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the NWS in Riverton. The mountain has a 20% chance of rain on Sunday and Sunday night.

Monday is expected to see temperatures climb to a high near 83 degrees in Casper with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The mountain has a 30% chance of showers on Monday afternoon.
