CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area can expect a high near 89 degrees on Wednesday with a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
Thursday is likely to be the hottest day of the week with a forecast near 99 degrees.
Casper then has a chance for showers, thunderstorms and hail every day from Friday through Tuesday, the NWS in Riverton forecasts.
Friday’s high is expected to reach near 88 degrees and has a 30% chance of precipitation during the day and a 50% chance at night. Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusting winds, the NWS in Riverton’s forecast said.
The high on Saturday is forecast near 85 degrees with a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms, small hail and gusty winds after noon. The chance for storms dips to 40% on Saturday night.
Sunday’s high is forecast near 86 degrees with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon, dropping to 20% on Sunday night. There is again a chance for small hail and gusty winds in storms on Sunday.
The high on Monday is forecast near 90 degrees, according to the NWS in Riverton. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, with hail and gusty winds possible.
Tuesday’s high is forecast near 91 degrees and there is again a chance for thunderstorms, hail and gusting winds.
