CASPER, Wyo. — Casper is expected to see some unseasonably warm temperatures on Monday and Tuesday, but some cooler weather and a chance for rain will return by the middle of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
The high on Monday is forecast near 82 degrees, with wind gusts up to 38 mph possible in Casper. Gusts could reach near 45 mph on Casper Mountain on Monday afternoon. Natrona County, alongside the rest of central and north central Wyoming, will be under a Red Flag Warning from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, according to the NWS in Riverton.
On Tuesday, the high is forecast near 80 degrees in Casper, but milder winds of 7–13 mph are expected in the afternoon.
Rain could return Tuesday night with a 20% chance of precipitation in Casper. Casper Mountain has a 30% chance of rain on Tuesday night.
A 20% chance of rain continues Wednesday, when the high is forecast near 63 degrees in Casper. Wind gusts up to 21 mph are possible Wednesday, the NWS in Riverton forecasts. The chance for rain increases to 40% in Casper on Wednesday night. Casper Mountain has a 30% chance of rain on Wednesday, increasing to 40% on Wednesday night.
On Thursday, the high is forecast near 73 degrees in Casper with a 20% chance of showers, the NWS in Riverton forecasts. Casper Mountain also has a 20% chance of rain on Thursday.
Friday is expected to be sunny with a high near 69 degrees in Casper. Saturday’s high is forecast near 70 degrees, followed by a high near 72 degrees on Sunday.
