CASPER, Wyo. — Natrona County will see bitter-cold temperatures and snow accumulations of up to 5 inches through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
Today’s high will reach only 17 degrees and dip to 1 degree overnight, with windchills as low as minus 15 degrees possible.
Up to 3 inches of accumulation is possible in lower elevations, with up to 5 inches possible on Casper Mountain today, said the NWS. Gusty winds at up to 30 mph are possible at times, leading to lower visibility in some areas in Natrona County.
Friday’s high temperature will continue to remain well below normal, with a high around 20 degrees and an overnight low around 8 degrees.
Interstate 90 between Buffalo and Gillette is closed as of 8 a.m. due to winter conditions, according to WYDOT.
