NWS: Up to 5 inches of snow possible today through Wednesday in Casper area

CASPER, Wyo. — Casper and Natrona County are under a winter weather advisory by the National Weather Service in Riverton as more snow is expected to move through the state today.

According to the NWS in Riverton, snow is expected to start later this afternoon, with up to 5 inches possible in lower elevations overnight. Snow will likely start to clear on Wednesday morning, with blustery winds kicking up later in the day.

The NWS in Riverton says up to 5 inches may be possible in higher elevations, with around 4 inches in lower areas.

The high for today and Wednesday is expected to be around 32 degrees, with around 28-degree highs likely for the remainder of the week. Overnight lows will dip to around 15 degrees on Wednesday and 12 degrees on Thursday and Friday nights.
