Strong winds, chance of snow over weekend

Snow is possible in the coming days, according to the National Weather Service.

CASPER, Wyo. — Casper residents can expect some severe weather over the coming days, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service in Riverton.

Today, temperatures will reach a high of 33 degrees. However, moderately strong winds moving in from the west at roughly 25 mph will make conditions feel even colder. In the afternoon, winter weather is possible, as the NWS in Riverton forecasts a 30% of snow showers after 1 p.m.

The likelihood of snow is only expected to grow as the day progresses, and there is a 40% chance of additional snowfall between the late-night hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Skies are expected to clear Sunday morning, though it will remain chilly with a high temperature of 31 degrees and winds gusts of up to 38 mph. However, the NWS in Riverton reports that snow could return in the evening, with a 30% chance of additional snow showers after 7 p.m.
