CASPER, Wyo. — Those hoping the coming weekend would be free of the smoke and haze caused by wildfires north of the Canadian border will likely need to wait one more day, the National Weather Service in Riverton reported in its forecast.
Today, Casper-area residents will need to once again contend with the smoke. Visibility and breathability will be reduced at times.
Meanwhile, the day’s high temperature is expected to reach up to 78 degrees. A light to moderate wind of 5–11 mph should roll in from the west throughout the day.
At night, temperatures will drop to a low of roughly 50 degrees.
On Sunday, the NWS in Riverton expects the smoke to be almost entirely cleared from the region. The temperature will reach a high of 79 and drop to a low of 52 after sundown.
