NWS: Shower and storm chances increase for Casper late Sunday through Tuesday

CASPER, Wyo. — Scattered showers and storms in the western mountains are expected to spread east into central Wyoming throughout the afternoon and evening Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.

Increasing clouds are forecast across the region, and there is a 40% chance of showers overnight in Casper. A daytime high of 56 is expected in Casper, and temps should climb gradually back into the 60s by Wednesday.

Monday brings increasing clouds and a chance of rain showers throughout the day in Casper, with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The chance for precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday should be mostly cloudy, with rain showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. A daytime high of 58 is expected. The chance for precipitation is 60%, the NWS said.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny in Casper with highs in the upper 60s, but stronger breezes will return, the NWS said.
