CASPER, Wyo. — One person is dead following a June 1 single-vehicle rollover crash in Johnson County.

The incident occurred at 9:47 p.m. at Interstate 90 / US 87 near milepost 44.7, according to an incident report by the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Buffalo is listed as the closest city.

Per the report, a GMC Terrain was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of travel. This section of I-90 runs north and south due to the terrain, with the eastbound lanes traveling south and the westbound lanes traveling north. After cresting a hill, the road curves to the left.

The GMC continued north until it impacted the end of a bridge rail. Per the report, the GMC continued north across the bridge deck, where it rolled approximately one and three-fourths times, coming to rest on its driver’s side facing west. During the crash, the vehicle caught fire and was completely burned.

Delayne Renner, 40, is identified as the driver and fatality. It is unknown whether Renner was wearing a seatbelt, the report states.
