Man Faces Public Urination Charges, After Allegedly Relieving Himself on Memorial

Information has been released about a the arrest of a man accused of urinating on on the City of Casper Veterans Park memorial.

Information has been released about a the arrest of a man accused of urinating on on the City of Casper Veterans Park memorial.

Police paperwork says that a man, later identified as 43-year-old Delhue Johnson Jr., was believed to have been urinating on the memorial of Veterans Park, on May 30th, at approximately 2:30 pm.

Officers arrived on the scene and made contact with Johnson near the park. Police paperwork says that Johnson had been drinking, but did not believe himself drunk. Police have listed Johnson as being homeless.

During the investigation, officers gave Johnson a portable breath test, resulting in an alcohol content of .218.

Because of the alcohol, police say that Johnson would not be welcome at the area Rescue Mission, and had no place to stay for the night. Police paperwork describe Johnson having slow and slurred speech, and was uneasy on his feet.

Johnson was cleared by medical professionals and transported to the Natrona County Detention Facility.

Officers on the scene confirmed the presence of fresh urine on the Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park.

Johnson was booked into jail on recommended charges of Public Intoxication and Public Urination.

All suspects in criminal investigations are considered innocent unless otherwise proven in court. Charges can be subject to change.
