Woman faces recommended charges; after allegedly bringing drugs into jail

Police say that a woman who was arrested on an outstanding warrant, was recommended for additional charges after she was alleged to have brought controlled substances into the Natrona County Detention Center.

According to law enforcement records, Josselyn J. Pratt was arrested during the early morning hours of Feb. 12.

Police say that they received a medical call to the 1200 block of North Center Street.

Police report finding Pratt describing her as conscious, alert, and breathing. Ambulance crews also arrived on scene, however Pratt is reported to have declined to go with medical crews.

During investigation, officers found that Pratt had an outstanding warrant through City of Casper for Trespassing and Property Damage.

The affidavit says that Pratt was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and was transported to an area hospital.

Police note that Pratt was eventually released from the hospital and was transported to the Natrona County Detention Center.

During the booking process, a search of Pratt’s person is reported to have yielded a jeweler’s bag and a black plastic container, both with suspected methamphetamine. Law enforcement also reported finding a syringe.

Pratt faces recommended charges of Controlled Substance in Jail and Possession of Methamphetamine, in addition to the outstanding warrant.
