Officers arrived and say that they found a vehicle that they believe had been traveling southbound on Country Club Road, running off the east side of the roadway, striking a parked car and a fifth wheel trailer, and ultimately crashed into the side of a house.
Officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, including the driver who was identified as Baker.
An affidavit in the case quotes Baker as telling officers that he was “being stupid,” and then saying “I was going, like, 90 miles per hour.”
Officers say that it was determined that Baker was not under the influence while driving, but was arrested for driving recklessly and for speeding.
A passenger who was in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital and was treated for injuries.
Baker was taken to the Natrona County Detention Center without further reported incident.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
