CASPER, Wyo. — A man was arrested by the Casper Police Department after they say they found him half naked on the porch of a private residence.
An affidavit filed in the case says that police were dispatched to the 800 block of West 15th for a welfare check, during the early morning hours of April 21.
A resident in the area reported that a male was on her porch half naked.
Police arrived and observed a man on the porch with no shirt, his shoes off, his pants unbuttoned, and his buttocks and genitals exposed.
The suspect explained to officers that he had been involved in a dispute with a male at a nearby business, and that he feared the man was following him.
The affidavit says that the suspect also told officers that the male had doused him with some sort of harmful substance, which is why he took his shirt off.
The suspect also explained to officers that he felt safe on the porch.
Police interviewed the resident of the home, who said that over the past two days, they had noticed strange things happening inside the apartment, including wall decorations being found on the floor.
The resident said that during the morning, they were leaving for work and found the suspect curled up under the patio furniture, and noted that the porch light had been turned off.
Officers report that a pair of women’s underwear was found near where the suspect had been located. The underwear was identified as belonging to a resident of the home, and was described as being ripped, as though the garment was hastily removed.
The suspect denied entering the residence and also denied knowledge of the women’s undergarments.
The suspect was arrested and booked under charges of Disturbing the Peace.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
