Subsequent to the contact, the ward said that Thompson was found to have a jeweler’s bag inside his jacket pocket.

The affidavit says that Thompson told the Game Warden that he used the baggie to hold lead sinkers, but later told law enforcement that the bag contained cocaine.

Casper Police also responded to the scene, and arrested Thompson for a recommended charge of Possession.

An affidavit in the case notes that Thompson had two previous convictions of Possession of a Controlled Substance from 2013 and 2016. As a third or subsequent offense, arresting officers recommended Thompson for a felony level charge.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
