Sunday fight in Casper parking lot leads to MIP arrests

CASPER, Wyo. — A fight in the parking lot of a vacant Casper retailer has lead to the arrest of three adults and the citation of one minor, following an investigation late Sunday night.

According to Casper Police Department paperwork, three individuals between ages 18 and 19 were arrested on varying charges after witnesses reported a fight in the vacant parking lot of an old K Mart store on 2nd Street in Casper.

All three of the suspects face misdemeanor charges of Minor in Possession of Alcohol.

A male suspect also faces a recommended charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon. 

Officers were dispatched to the parking lot after a fight was reported just after 8:00 pm, on June 2, 2019. Reporting parties say that a crowd of thirty people were in the K Mart parking lot, and there was a fight going on.

The witnesses say that the fight was between two women, and that alcohol was involved.

All three of the individuals arrested for Minor in Possession of Alcohol were said to have admitted consuming alcohol to investigating officers.

A fourth individual, identified as a minor, also admitted to consuming alcohol. The minor was reportedly cited and released to an adult on the scene.

Between the four suspects discussed in a Casper Police Department affidavit, breath tests administered on the scene showed blood alcohol content of the suspects ranged from .05 to .181.

During a search of a male suspect, officers reported that the male said he had a gun in his boot. Officers located a Glock 45, and logged the gun into evidence.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
