A homeless man was arrested late Friday night after using a garden hose to shower.
According to a police report, the homeowner reported a male “naked and using their garden hose to shower himself” at a home on East Second Street.
The homeowner told the man to leave his property, but he “refused and continued to shower.”

The report says the homeless man “had no ties to the community and had just arrived to Casper within the last day or so.”
The man said he’d been asked by another homeowner to do some cleanup around their property. He told police he didn’t want to shower at the Wyoming Rescue Mission and believed the water didn’t “cost anything and thought all water was free for the taking,” according to the report.
Police say the garden hose was on for approximately 10 minutes, and that the homeowner asked to press charges for the theft of an estimated 90 to 170 gallons of water.
The man was transported to the Natrona County Detention Center and charged with theft of services and trespassing.
