CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Police say that a woman was arrested after allegedly trying to avoid police contact. The suspect faces a recommended controlled substance felony.
Michelle Lynn Clark, age 48, was booked into the Natrona County Detention Center on a recommended felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.
Clark was arrested during the evening hours of June 11, 2019; after police say that Clark refused to answer the door of a private home, and later attempted to run from officers.

CPD officers say that they had received a tip that Clark was at a private home on the 900 block of South Chestnut Street in Casper.
Witnesses say that they believed Clark to be hiding inside the residence.
During the course of investigation, an adult male and female were seen running out the back of the residence, and attempting to run to the alley. The two adults were stopped and contacted by officers, and were taken into custody.
One of the adults, identified as Cody J Elrod, was arrested following the contact on a recommended charge of Interference With a Police Officer.
While speaking with the two adults, officers say that Clark was observed to jump out a front window of the home and believed she was attempting to run from the scene.
Police say that they ordered Clark to stop running, at which point she stopped and laid on the ground.
During a search of Clark’s person, it was reported that officers found three baggies of suspected methamphetamine, weighing approximately 18.8 grams, with packaging.
Clark was subsequently arrested and transported to the NCDC.
Clark is also reportedly being held on a Contract Hold out of Federal Court, according to law enforcement records.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
