4 Cheyenne juveniles identified in felony vandalism spree

The Cheyenne Police Department says it solved a vandalism spree that took place over two days in June.

According to a CPD release, the police say four underage people damaged property along Henderson Dr. and Walnut Dr. The damage consisted of graffiti to buildings and vehicles, along with broken windows and side mirrors on parked cars.

In addition, a large church with a primarily African-American congregation was vandalized with offensive messages on its front door, according to the release.

The alleged perpetrators consisted of three females and one male ranging in ages from 11 to 14.

Since the damage exceeds $1,000, the case is being classified at the felony level, said the release. Recommended charges have been filed by the CPD at the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
