CASPER, Wyo. — A man who was identified as a wanted suspect in an escape case, has been apprehended and has been returned to custody.
According to Natrona County Sheriff’s Office officials, Levi Chancellor, age 24, was reportedly arrested on Burke Road, on Casper Mountain, at approximately 11:30 pm, Monday, August 5, 2019.
Chancellor was reported as missing from official detention approximately 8:45 pm, August 4th. At the time, Chancellor was an inmate at Casper Re-Entry Center.

Officials say that Chancellor was serving a sentence on an original charge of 2-5 years for Delivery of Methamphetamine, out of Converse County.
Chancellor’s arrest Monday night, came after Natrona County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle on Burke Road, on Casper Mountain at approximately 11:15 pm.
Deputies reportedly made contact with Chancellor, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Initially, deputies say that Chancellor did not give his correct name, however after being confronted by investigators, it is reported that Chancellor gave his correct identity and indicated he was an escapee.
The suspect was transported to the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office on a criminal warrant and was booked without further reported incident.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
