CASPER, Wyo. — Three men were arrested by the Casper Police Department, after officers say that approximately 13 ounces of marijuana was found in the men’s home.
All three men are facing felony drug possession charges.
According to paperwork filed by the Casper Police Department, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 1900 block of South Missouri street, after a caller complained of being able to smell burned marijuana in the area.

Officers report arriving on scene at approximately 6:00 pm, August 8, 2019 and write in an affidavit that they could smell the odor of marijuana inside the hallway of the apartment building.
A resident of the building was identified as a retired law enforcement officer. They contacted responding officers and confirmed that they could also smell the odor, and that it seemed to be coming from a specific apartment.
Police say that they knocked on the indicated apartment and made contact with a suspect identified as 18-year-old Daniel Scot Hess. Police say that they were able to smell marijuana inside the apartment.
Hess claimed to be the renter of the apartment, and the affidavit says that he admitted to police that there was marijuana in the apartment, and estimated the volume to be a couple of grams.
Upon entering the apartment to collect the marijuana, police say that they heard sound coming from the back of the apartment. Officers did a walk-through and say that the also made contact with suspects 22-year-old Jinar Logan and 18-year-old Jordan Logan.
Police say that they were able to observe a socket head, containing suspected burned marijuana in the apartment’s bathroom. Police also described finding three empty marijuana dispensary canisters, a jar of suspected marijuana, and three sandwich baggies with suspected marijuana.
Officers report obtaining search warrant for the residence, and a subsequent investigation yielded multiple items identified as paraphernalia, including multiple marijuana canisters, baggies, scales, grinders, and smoked marijuana butts.
Following the search, officers report that the total volume of suspected marijuana seized during the search weighed approximately 380 grams, or just over 13 ounces.
Hess, Jinar Logan, and Jordan Logan all claimed to be residents of the apartment, and all denied knowledge or use of the marijuana inside the residence.
Hess reportedly told officers he was only aware of a portion of marijuana that was found in his backpack.
All three men were arrested and transported to the Natrona County Detention Center. Each of the suspects was recommended for a felony Possession charge, as well as a charge of Possession With Intent to Deliver.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
