Information released in Casper auto burglaries

CASPER, Wyo. —  Details have been released surrounding the arrest of two men in Casper on charges of Burglary and Conspiracy.

David Rain Stanley, age 23, and Anthony Jacob Holliday, age 18, each face charges of Burglary and Conspiracy, both men were still in the Natrona County Jail as of Thursday afternoon. Each man has been given a cash or surety bond of $10,000.

CPD says that shortly before 2:00 am on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019, -police responded to the area of South Jackson Street, in Casper.

Affidavits filed in Natrona County Circuit Court say that dispatch received reports of several male suspects, who were observed checking handles of parked vehicles parked in the area. One neighbor was said to have been notified via a camera-mounted doorbell and security app on their phone.

The video from the doorbell cam reportedly showed several males attempting to open doors on at least three parked cars.

Officers say that they immediately began a search of the area and located two suspects fitting a description for two of the suspects.  Those men were identified as Stanley and Holliday

Both suspects were interviewed by Officers and subsequently arrested. They indicated that they had had been on a walk and began going into vehicles looking for items to take.

Stanley told officers that the men would take turns being “look out,” watching for passing vehicles. If a vehicle approached, Stanley said the men would hide or flee.

Both men identified several items as being taken from vehicles and placed in a common location. Officers were told where the items were taken.

Police reported recovering a drill, a tool box, a baseball bat, a motorcycle helmet, subwoofers, and a blue tooth speaker.

Other items were also found and officers are investigating the potential of other victims in the case.
