CASPER, Wyo. — Officials with the Casper Police Department say that they are investigating a pedestrian-involved hit-and-run collision that occurred Sunday, September 29, 2019.

According to a Casper PD spokesperson, the call came in shortly before 4:00 pm Sunday. Reports were made that a pedestrian had been struck near the intersection of West 15th Street and CY Avenue.

An adult male was believed to be walking westbound on CY Avenue, and crossed the road near the intersection of 15th Street. The pedestrian was struck by a moving vehicle, and the driver left the scene.

Casper PD Public Information Officer Rebekah Ladd tells Oil City that the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.

“CPD [is] currently investigating, and is requesting the help of the community in identifying the driver involved,” Ladd said, Wednesday afternoon.

Ladd described the suspect vehicle as a white Chevrolet single cab truck, with exterior damage. The truck was also described by witnesses as being loud.

It was also said that the September 29 pedestrian-involved hit-and-run is unrelated to another pedestrian-involved hit-and-run case, that the Casper Police Department publicized earlier this week.
