CASPER, Wyo. — A traffic stop near Lander over the weekend led to the seizure of three pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of two individuals.
Joe Charles Curtis, Sr. of Taft, California and Moranda Standingrock of Rygate, Montana were arrested and face felony drug charges for their alleged involvement, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said in a Monday, Oct. 28 release.
The FCSO said that the Hot Springs County Sheriff had provided them with information about a vehicle suspected to be transporting a large quantity of the illegal drug.

FCSO deputies stopped the vehicle near Lander. A Lander Police Department K9 unit assisted in the investigation which “indicated the presence of narcotics within the vehicle.”
Further investigation with the assistance of both the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the Wyoming Highway Patrol “led to the discovery of around three pounds of methamphetamine concealed within the vehicle,” FCSO adds.
