The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating a shooting threat made against South Cheyenne High School on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a post on their Facebook page, the CPD has identified a suspect “and precautions are in place to ensure school can continue as normal.”
The threat was described as a “vague school shooting” that had been posted on social media.

Police say there will be additional officers at the school for “the safety and peace of mind of our children and families.”
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reported that the threat was made through Snapchat and sent to a large group of students.
