CASPER, Wyo. — A Thermopolis man has been arrested and charged with allegedly passing conterfeit $100 bills.
Karl Bert Loos Jr. appearing in the Fifth Judicial Court on Friday, Nov. 8 on the charges, the Thermopolis Police Department said on Facebook.
Thermopolis PD alerted the public on Nov. 2 to information that counterfeit $100 bills were reportedly being passed around the community.

“Businesses, please be aware and report any fake/counterfeit money to our agency,” Thermopolis PD said in that announcement. “The fake $100 bills have the serial number of LB45440078L.”
They added that the same bills were used in Red Lodge, Montana.
The police department urged the public to continue reporting any counterfeit bills being passed around.
