Laramie Police are saying that a welfare check over the weekend has led the the arrest of a man on a recommended felony drug possession charge.
Laramie PD says that on January 31, 2020 at approximately 5:50 pm they responded to the 1300 Block of South 17th Street to conduct a welfare check on a male subject.
As a result of the Officers’ investigation, Bernie K. Underwood, a 22-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd Offense Driving while Under the Influence, Open Container in a Vehicle, and Valid License Required.

Possession of a Controlled substance is a felony if any person is convicted for a third or subsequent offense. The additional charges are all misdemeanors.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
