CASPER, Wyo. — A 52-year-old Casper woman is facing a felony charge of theft, and is accused of entering the home of a family member and removing jewelry from a bedroom during the late night hours of May 14, 2020.
An affidavit filed with Natrona County Circuit Court says that Stacey Lee Patch was arrested and booked into the Natrona County Detention Center on May 16th, 2020. She faces a felony charge of Theft.
Officers with the Casper Police Department say that they responded to a private residence for a theft. The reporting party identified the suspect as Patch, who was described as being a family member but as not being a household member.

Residents of the home told officers that while they were in bed, at approximately 11:30 pm May 14, Patch had entered an occupied bedroom. The resident, who was in bed, spoke with Patch who reportedly went to a dresser and allegedly took an antique jewelry box, before leaving the residence.
The reporting party said that inside the jewelry box had been two rings. One of rings was described as gold with multiple cut diamonds, the other was a Shriner signet ring. Both rings were estimated to have a value of approximately $3,500.
On May 16, 2020 Police say that Patch called to voluntarily speak with officers. Police met Patch at a private residence, where she told them that she had been at a family member’s house to pick up some family heirloom rings.
Following an investigation, police report that Patch was arrested and transported to the Natrona County Detention Center. The rings were reportedly returned to the identified owner.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
