CASPER, Wyo. — The Rock Springs Police Department has announced the arrest of a Utah man on multiple charges, after the suspect was pulled over in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
At approximately 3:34 p.m., on June 24, 2020, the Rock Springs Police Department says they were dispatched to a Goodwill, in the community of Rock Springs, for a reported shoplifting.
“Officers reviewed the store’s security cameras and were able to get a description of the male suspect and the vehicle he was driving,” RSPD said in a statement Thursday morning. “While on patrol, officers located the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. A routine check on the vehicle revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Utah and a search of the vehicle was conducted.”

Police go on to say the driver, identified Cody Fuger, age 36, was also identified as the suspect in a theft of a cell phone earlier in the day at Rock Springs Animal Control.
Fuger was arrested for Shoplifting, Possession of a Stolen Property Over $1000, Possession of Methamphetamine, Theft Under $1000, and Driving Under Suspension.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the appropriate prosecuting offices.
