CASPER, Wyo. — Law enforcement officials say they are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at a residence in the Alcova area of Natrona County.
Natrona County Sheriff’s Department officials confirmed to Oil City on Sunday morning that they were investigating the fatal shooting death of a male victim, who died during the late night hours of July 10.
“At approximately 11:00 pm, our deputies responded to a fight at a trailer house,” Sheriff’s Sergeant Taylor Courtney said Sunday morning. “When they arrived they found an adult male who was unconscious and not breathing.”

Courtney says that CPR was performed, but ultimately the victim was declared deceased. Taylor said that upon investigation it was discovered that the male was suffering from gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been made in the case, and Courtney describes the investigation as being criminal in nature. Sheriff’s officials did decline to release the names of the victim or any potential other persons involved. Courtney did clarify that the NCSO does not believe there is currently any threat to the public.
