CASPER, Wyo. — An 18-year-old suspect was arrested in Casper on July 28, 2020 after reportedly running from officers, following a disturbance call. The suspect is also accused of having reportedly stolen items among his possessions.
Officers say that they responded to disturbance call at approximately 3:00 am, July 28. An individual, ultimately identified as Evan Michael Martinez, was accused by others of being intoxicated and causing a commotion at a private residence.
Police report that the contacted Martinez later that morning at approximately 4:00 am, near the intersection of 13th and Boxelder Streets in Casper. It was then alleged that Martinez attempted to flee on foot from officers, who gave chase. The suspect was eventually caught and arrested.

Items found in the area where Martinez was contacted by officers, included items matching the description of belongings taken from an unlocked and unoccupied work truck in the area.
Martinez was subsequently arrested and charged in Natrona County Circuit Court, where he was handed a bond amount of $10,000. According to jail records, he was no longer in custody on the morning of July 31, 2020.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
