CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve made contact with two juveniles that they believe are involved in thousands of dollars of gunfire damage to a Wyoming Department of Transportation vehicle.
“During the evening of Sept. 14, 2020; a Wyoming Department of Transportation loader was vandalized by being shot multiple times with a 9mm gun,” The NCSO said Friday afternoon.
Officials say the loader was being used for construction on Hat Six Road, approximately 1.5 miles south of I-25 in Natrona County.

The gunshots caused an estimated $7,000-$10,000 worth of damage to the loader.
“The investigation into the incident revealed the damage was caused by two juveniles,” the NCSO said. “A stolen 9mm pistol, reported to have been used in the shooting, was recovered in the investigation.”
Further information was not released, given the juvenile status of the suspects in the case.
“The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Casper Police Department for their assistance in helping to identify the suspects in this case,” the NCSO says.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
