CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A 41-year old man was arrested on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021 by the Wyoming Highway Patrol after it was alleged that he set fire to a vehicle on the Wyoming State Capitol Grounds.

Thomas Kimball Swei made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on January 4th, 2021 to hear the felony charge of 3rd Degree Arson read to him by Judge Thomas Lee.

No motive was given for why Swei had allegedly set his car ablaze at that location.

If convicted on the 3rd degree Arson Charge, Swei could face up to 5 years in prison and/or a fine of up to 5k.
