CASPER, Wyo. — A Casper man is in custody and facing one felony charge, after it was alleged that he attacked and choked another person in his household. The suspect alleges that the accuser had brandished knives during a physical altercation between the pair.
Matt B. Kimball, age 64, was arrested on February 14, 2021 and booked into the Natrona County Detention Center. During an initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court on Monday, Kimball was charged with felony Strangulation of a Household Member and Domestic Battery.
Paperwork filed by the Casper Police Department and released by the Circuit Court says that Kimball is accused of striking and choking another adult in the household, charges that Kimball has denied to officers.

Officers with Casper PD say that they responded to multiple reports of a disturbance, near the 1100 block of West 21st Street, just after 11:00 am, February 14, 2021. While responding to the scene officers contacted the accuser, walking in a restaurant parking lot on CY Avenue. The accuser was described as having a large amount of blood on their face and head.
They told officers that they had been involved in an altercation with two people, one of whom was identified as Kimball. The accuser said that Kimball was a member of the same household and was trying to physically remove the accuser from the premises.
The accuser said that they had been in a bedroom of the home with an acquaintance, when Kimball and another adult threaten to drag the accuser out of the home. The accuser said that they armed themselves with two knives for defense, when Kimball and the other adult forced entry into the room.
During the physical altercation that followed, the accuser said that Kimball struck at the accuser and choked him at one point, threatening to kill the accuser.
Kimball said that he had been involved in a physical altercation with the accuser, and was attempting to remove them from the home, and further said that the accuser had been armed with two knives. Kimball, however, denied to officers that he had struck or choked the accuser.
Kimball was ultimately arrested and booked at the Natrona County jail. He is pending a preliminary hearing to see if his charges will be carried over to Natrona County District Court.
