One suspect is dead and another is hospitalized and in a police involved shooting from the Nebraska county of Lancaster. The suspects have been identified as residents of the Casper, Wyoming area.
The two suspects have been identified as Hailey R. Stainbrook, age 30 of Casper who died of her injuries Saturday Morning. Christian W. Alexander age 26 of Evansville, is still in critical condition at a Lincoln Hospital, according to a statement from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO says that the incident began on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at approximately 8:39 am, when Lincoln, Nebraska police officers responded to a report of a robbery at a northwest Lincoln hotel.

The victim in the case is said to have provided a detailed description of the robbery suspects and their vehicle, a Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The 2005 white Chevrolet Trailblazer had been reported stolen on Thurs, February 18, from a Motel parking lot in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The victim reports a .38 caliber revolver was in the vehicle.
“As the victim was being interviewed by Lincoln police officers, he was alerted that his credit card was attempting to be used at multiple businesses in north Lincoln,” the LCSO said in a statement Monday morning. “Shortly thereafter, a Nebraska State Trooper located the suspect vehicle near North 56th Street and Superior Street. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled westbound on Superior. The trooper pursued the vehicle. During the pursuit, a male suspect began shooting from the moving vehicle at the trooper.”
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office went on to say that during an exchange of gunfire, the male suspect was shot.
“The female suspect also produced a gun and disobeyed officers’ commands. The female suspect was also shot,” LCSO reported on social media, Monday.
A trooper was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries suffered during a collision between his patrol vehicle and the suspect vehicle. The trooper has since been treated and released from the hospital.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the ongoing investigation into this incident.
Stainbrook is said to have had outstanding warrant for narcotics from Virginia.
