Court papers reveal that officers made contact with a witness who alleged they saw an “older model” red pickup truck driving eastbound on Nationway. The witness told authorities that they also saw the victim walking on the asphalt part of the median prior to the incident.

The witness advised police that they observed the red pickup truck swerve left into the median of the road and strike the victim.

Court documents state that the eye witness saw the suspect vehicle continue eastbound on Nationway without stopping,” the officer stated in the affidavit.

The witness went on to tell police they observed another car follow the suspect vehicle after it drove away from the scene.

Paperwork obtained from the Laramie County Circuit Court says that Kyle Ziemer made his initial appearance in court on March 25th, 2021 to hear the recommended felony charge of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide – DUI read to him by Judge Lee.

If convicted, Ziemer could face up to 20 years in prison, according to Wyoming statutes.
