“Officers were told that two adults were in a physical altercation,” said Casper Police Department spokesperson Rebekah Ladd. “Officers ultimately learned that the two individuals were currently living together. A verbal altercation became physical and the [suspect] allegedly physically assaulted the [other person] and threatened [them] with a knife.”
An affidavit filed in Natrona County Circuit Court alleges that police made contact with the victim upon arrival, who said that they had locked themselves inside an apartment and that White was somewhere in the hallways. Officers report they found White “hiding on the third floor, concealing himself behind the balcony of the stairs.”
During an interview with the alleged victim, police say that it was reported that White had been behaving out of sorts, and that the two had been involved in a verbal argument. It’s then claimed that White was told to leave the residence, which he did not.
That affidavit of probable cause says that White is accused of unfolding a pocket knife and making verbal threats. The accuser says that at one point during the incident they were “stuck” with the knife, on their arm.
Police noted a small mark on the accuser’s arm that had bled previously to officer’s arrival, but had since stopped. The accuser declined medical attention.
It is further reported that the alleged victim in the case told officers that they were able to fight White off, and when he was distracted, struck White with a shower rod. At that time it was said that White left the residence, and the victim locked the door.
Police also say that a juvenile witness at the scene was able to corroborate the accuser’s story.
During questioning by officers, White reportedly denied having brandished a knife, and also denied any kind of relationship with the accuser.
Officers say that during a search of White’s person and belongings, a baggie with an undisclosed amount of suspected methamphetamine was found as well as a pocket mirror that contained suspected meth residue.
White was transported to the Natrona County Detention Center without further reported incident.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
