“Once on scene, officers located multiple shell casings, obtained video surveillance footage and spoke with multiple witnesses,” Department spokesperson Rebekah Ladd says. “Ultimately, officers learned from witnesses that a verbal altercation inside the establishment had escalated to a physical altercation outside of the establishment. At some point during the physical altercation, a male suspect fired multiple shots at a nearby vehicle before leaving the scene.”
One of the people in the car that was struck by gunfire reported a minor, non-life threatening injury. According to a statement made following the March incident, the victim was struck by “bullet fragments.” Another occupant of the vehicle was physically unharmed.
Upon reviewing video surveillance footage and witness statements, Casper PD reports that multiple witnesses identified the suspect via a photo line-up.
“All involved parties who participated identified the same suspect as the male who shot at the vehicle on March 25th,” Ladd said.
Several weeks after the incident, officers say they made contact with the suspect who, throughout the course of an interview, admitted to shooting multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Ronnell Robertson, was ultimately arrested and booked into the Natrona County Detention Center.
