CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A suspect is accused of holding a knife to the throat of another individual and cutting them multiple times, according to a case in Laramie County Circuit Court.
Court documents show that the suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery, a felony, and Domestic Battery, a misdemeanor.
An affidavit of probable cause filed in Circuit Court says that Cheyenne police officers were summoned to a call for service just after 11:45 p.m. Aug. 25, 2021. Reports had been made to emergency dispatch referencing an assault with a knife.

Police made contact with the victim in the case, who reported that they had been involved in a physical altercation with the suspect earlier in the evening. The accuser said that the suspect had dragged them out from inside the suspect’s vehicle and then pulled a knife on the victim.
The victim says that the knife was held to their neck and that they had been cut several times while trying to defend themselves.
Police say that the victim was suffering from multiple lacerations at the time they were contacted by police.
The suspect was reportedly known to the victim, and is identified in court documents as Emilio Garcia, born in 2001. Police go on to report that a knife matching one described by the victim was found in a vehicle associated with Garcia.
Records show that Garcia was given a bond amount of $10,000. He is expected to be scheduled for a preliminary hearing to see if his charges will be bound over to District Court.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
