Wyoming Game and Fish investigating mule deer poaching; doe left to waste along Green River

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department said on Friday that it is investigating a mule deer poaching case after a doe was found shot and left to waste along the Green River.

Game and Fish said the deer was shot and left to waste on Saturday, October 2. Green River Game Warden Justin Dodd responded to a report of the poaching and located the deer on the east shore of the river across from Pioneer Trails picnic ground.

The department is asking that anyone with information report tips or suspicious activity. People can call the Stop Poaching Hotline at 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847) to report any information.
