CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A sheriff’s office in Colorado is seeking the public’s help on finding information on victims regarding a child sexual assault suspect with Cheyenne ties arrested earlier this year.
Allan Richard Long, 51, was arrested by authorities in Arapahoe County, Colorado in September and is alleged to have sexually assaulted at least seven children ages four to 16 dating back to 2001. Investigators believe his crimes may have began before then and that there could be more victims.
Long faces 41 felony counts relating to the sexual abuse of children and is currently in the Arapahoe County Detention Facility in Centennial, Colorado in lieu of a $1 million bond. An Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson noted to Cap City News that Long has “very specific ties” to Cheyenne and that there could be more victims there.
Through several different work occupations — including volunteer firefighter, over-the-road truck driver, tow truck driver and truck dispatcher — investigators say Long may have committed sexual assault crimes in multiple states including Wyoming, Kansas and Montana as well as Colorado.
